A guidance kit is the cheapest upgrade on a farm, because it does not ask you to change your crop, your agronomy or your machines. It changes one thing: where the tractor actually is.
Every crooked pass re-covers ground you already paid to treat. On tillage and planting the overlap typically runs 5–15%. Nobody invoices you for it, so nobody notices it.
A missed strip in a spray or fertiliser pass is a strip of unprotected crop. It reappears at harvest, as a yield difference you cannot fix after the fact.
The HD818 puts the machine on a stored line and keeps it there — ±2.5 cm with RTK. Overlap falls, skips disappear, and the work no longer depends on which operator is in the seat.

The highest-overlap job on any farm. Straight, evenly spaced passes cut fuel burn and machine hours, and leave a level seedbed for the next pass.
Row spacing sets the ceiling for the whole season. A repeatable line means uniform emergence and machinery that can follow the same rows later.
Section control on a guided line stops the double-application at headlands and the skips in between — the two places where inputs are quietly wasted.
Machine-dug beds and rows come out parallel. Harvest equipment can then travel the same wheel tracks, which reduces compaction on the bed itself.

Guidance is the ground half of the system. The aerial half is the JT-80 spray / spread drone, and both run against the same prescription map.

“ISOBUS compatible” is not one feature. It is a stack of levels, and a quotation that stops at the first one is usually the cheapest line in the document. The HD818 terminal implements two: UT and TC-SC.
The terminal becomes the implement’s own screen. A seeder, sprayer or spreader of any brand plugs in and its controls appear on the same display.
The terminal switches implement sections by position. Overlap stops being something the operator avoids and becomes something the machine refuses to do.
