1. Who we are

This website, jtilep.com, is operated by Xuzhou Jitian Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (brand: JTILEP), a manufacturer of agricultural machinery based in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, China. We build BDS-based tractor auto-steering systems (HD818) and full-size agricultural spray and spread drones (JT-80), and we supply them to dealers, distributors, importers, cooperatives and project buyers.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and comparable data protection laws, we act as the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Our contact point for all privacy matters is sandy@jtilep.com.

This website is a business-to-business site. We sell to companies and organisations, not to consumers, and we do not knowingly collect information from private individuals acting outside a business context.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

When you submit an inquiry through our contact form, send us an email, or message us on WhatsApp, you choose what to send. In practice the information we receive is:

  • Contact details — your name, company name, business email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, and country or region.
  • Commercial context — the product you are interested in (HD818, JT-80 or an OEM project), estimated quantity, intended application, target market and any delivery requirements you describe.
  • The content of your message, including any documents, specifications or drawings you attach.

You are never obliged to provide this information. However, without at least an email address and an indication of your market, we cannot prepare a quotation or confirm technical suitability.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Our web server records standard technical request data — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, referring page and user-agent string — for the purpose of operating the site securely and diagnosing faults. This data is used in aggregate for security and availability purposes.

2.3 What we do not collect

We do not ask for, and do not want to receive, special categories of personal data (for example health, biometric, religious or political information), payment card numbers, or identity document numbers through this website. If you send such information to us unsolicited, we will delete it.

3. How we use it

  • To answer your inquiry and prepare a quotation — evaluating your requirement, recommending a configuration, and issuing a Proforma Invoice or sales contract.
  • To perform the contract — order processing, shipping documentation, customs and export formalities, invoicing and after-sales support.
  • To provide technical support — matching installation kits, advising on correction sources or operating parameters, and handling warranty claims.
  • To meet legal obligations — record-keeping required by tax, accounting, customs and export-control rules.
  • To improve the site and our product documentation, using aggregated and non-identifying information.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — when you submit an inquiry form or otherwise contact us and ask to be contacted back. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract already concluded.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — for records we are required to keep under applicable tax, customs, export and company law.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for the security and availability of our website, the prevention of fraud and abuse, and the assertion or defence of legal claims. We balance these interests against your rights and do not rely on this basis where your interests would be overridden.

5. Who we share it with

We disclose personal information only where it is necessary, and only to the following categories of recipient:

  • Service providers acting on our instructions — email and hosting providers, IT support, and document handling services, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Logistics and customs partners — freight forwarders, carriers and customs brokers, where this is necessary to deliver goods you have ordered. This typically includes the consignee name, delivery address and contact number given in the shipping documents.
  • Banks and payment service providers — where necessary to verify and process payment under the terms of the contract.
  • Professional advisers — auditors, lawyers and insurers, where professionally required.
  • Public authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, including export control, sanctions, customs and tax authorities.

6. International transfers

We are based in China, so if you contact us from the EEA, the UK or another region, your information will be transferred to and processed in China in order for us to reply to you and to fulfil any order. We take steps to ensure that transferred information continues to receive appropriate protection, including contractual confidentiality obligations with our staff and our service providers. Where a transfer requires additional safeguards under applicable law, we put them in place or provide further detail on request.

7. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries that do not become an order — retained while the commercial discussion is active, and then deleted or archived within a reasonable period unless you ask us to keep the record.
  • Customer and transaction records — retained for the duration of the business relationship and afterwards for as long as required by tax, accounting, customs and export-control law applicable to us, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
  • Website server logs — retained for a short operational period and then deleted.

8. Cookies and tracking

This website does not currently set analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies, and we do not operate advertising pixels on this site. Only what is strictly necessary to serve the pages is used.

If we later add measurement tags for advertising campaigns on third-party platforms, we will update this policy before those tags go live, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent first. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking third-party cookies entirely.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:

  • obtain confirmation of whether we process your personal information, and receive a copy of it;
  • request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • request deletion, where there is no overriding legal or contractual reason for us to keep it;
  • request restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • receive your information in a portable format, where technically feasible;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal;
  • lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country or region.

To exercise any of these rights, write to sandy@jtilep.com with enough detail for us to identify you and understand your request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We do not charge a fee for a first request, and we will tell you if your request cannot be met and why.

10. How we protect your data

We use a combination of technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include access control on the accounts that hold inquiry and customer data, transmission over HTTPS, restricted internal distribution of commercial documents, and confidentiality obligations for staff and contractors who handle them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay where a breach affecting your rights occurs and notification is required.

11. Children

This website and our products are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, our products or the law. The “last updated” date at the top of the page always shows the current version. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will make that clear on this page.
